Hi all,

My camera all of a sudden will not take pictures:
Here is what is does - I press the shutter button halfway down
until the framing marks turns green. then when I push the shutter
button all the way down - nothing happens. This is in all modes,
even video.

I have taken out battery and reinserted.
Inserted a fully charged battery.
Set it on the dock and tried it.
Reformatted memory card and reinserted
Swithed to internal memory.
I have not tried the 5 Volt ac adapter as I do not
have one.

I have noticed sometimes when I press the shutter button
half way its just blinks red.

Any ideas or is the camera toast??? I hope not - it is a great camera.

Thanks

Probably. You might look at a new camera, such as the Kodak C743 or
c875. Both are excellent values.

These are bringing between $75 and $90 on ebay, and I've considered
buying a spare because I like mine so much.
