Hi

has anyone heard of problems with the USB connection from a DMC-FZ20 to a
computer?

On one of my PCs (a laptop) the PC reboots every time I attach the camera.
On another PC the PC is unable to see the camera, but the USB cable gets
super hot.
On a Mac, the computer freezes when the camera is attached, and is ok as
soon as the camera is detached.

The camera worked fine up until yesterday.

Thanks for any advice,
Peter

If the cable gets very hot, my first guess would be that some of the
pins got squashed together, creating a short circuit. The large
(out-of-spec) current draw will do weird things to the power supply in
the various computers, causing all sorts of bizarre effects.

Try a different cable.
