I'm looking for a new digital camera to use with my new spotting
scope. I can't find any difinitive information or good advice for
current offerings online.
What is the current thinking on the new camera models that have come
on the market this summer?
I really want to use a single purpose "pocket" digital to replace the
Cannon PS500. I want to carry it in a belt pouch for general outdoors
use but also want to attach it to a swing-away digital camera adapter
for serious (amatuer) work with the spotting scope.
Minimum requirements would be..
Remote or wireless shutter release.
Manual focus ability.
History of excellent image resolution.
Hostory of excellent color rendition.
Large LCD display. Do away with the optical viewfinder.
Fast turn on and shutter release response.
Long battery life.
Fast ISO.
Let me guess, nothing fits all my wants.
Least important features may be optical zoom beyond the normal 3X. 8
meg is fine, larger not too important.
Is image stabilization usefull while digiscoping?
Thanks,
Please respond to my home email too. penglish1 RemoveThis @earthlink.net
