Greetings Grover,

Sorry to hear about the demise of your vintage DC15 (nice camera in its
day).

I work at Kodak and am familiar with the cameras you have noted. Personally,
I would choose the C875. For the money it is a great camera and I suspect
will do you well.

Cameras today are not built the way they were so the weight and such will be
different. If I recall there were some pretty good reviews on this camera -
favorable. In my own use I have been very pleased with the pics and used it
for a carriage and horse review here in Rochester.

I think you will be pleased. I would consider a case, however, so you can
protect it while not in use.

Good Luck and Good shooting,

Ron Baird
Eastman Kodak Company

You might want to check the Z series cameras out. A lot more capability
and probably would not be much bigger that the 215. BTW - I dug out my old
DC210+ for a haloween party shoot at the local library - they were going
to print out about half a dozen pics per page so didn't need much
resolution. Everything was fine except the zoom is getting a little sticky
- I suppose from lack of use.

What kind of case are you recommending in the event of an unplanned
trans-camera vehicle shunt? Let's assume, for the sake of argument, a
4000-pound vehicle with four ten-inch-wide treads (only two of which
will pass over the Kodak).

the C875 has some very nice features, and a good price point, but NO
OPTICAL VIEWFINDER! Sigh.

Hello, Grover:

You commit motor vehicle "cameracide" and then, dare come to us, asking
advice on a suitable replacement for your innocent victim? That poor,
elderly paragon of picture-taking prowess is barely in its "grave" and
yet, you're already lusting after beautiful, new Kodak cuties?

How can you live with yourself? You fiend, you! Very Happy

Cordially,
John Turco
