Sounds like the Sony CCD problem. I'd check out Nikon's website and see
if there's a recall. I have no idea if Sony makes Nikon's CCDs.
Hopefully Nikon is better at honoring the recall than Sony is. I've put
in to get my camcorder fixed 3x, website promises 10 days to respond,
but it's been three months since the first request.
