Next time you're down at the laundromat, toss the camera in with the

I see the OP was a typical google poster. There are three english

I must disagree, It will clean the sensor, but it will really upset the
white balance and may make the whole unit unusable, please try with the
coloureds  .

Absolutely.
If you want to bias the white balance towards Daylight, use bleach
with a blueing agent.
