Is this the same Rita who just wrote : "Good point, but never say never."
But I do agree there is very little likelihood of the next model being more
than 16MP anyway.
The one after that maybe.
Canon do seem to keep their model lines going for quite a while, and more
pixels with every update is pretty much the norm.

I agree. It can't be too good as too many 1Ds users will just buy 5D's
instead. Although they now have Nikon hot on their tail, so need to
consider this too. Maybe that's why there is such a big time delay, as they
were waiting to see what Nikon would come out with.

I would suggest that the 5D replacement will use the 1D Mk III
21 MP sensor, and be seriously crippled in the frame rate, and offer
the "professional kiss of death", a built-in flash. This will
occur just before the 1D Mk IV comes out at 26 MP and some
other perks to keep the price up.

It's not a comment about John. It's a comment about evidence or lack
of evidence.

Help me out, here. I've only seen a few of your posts. None of them
contributed anything to the newsgroup. None of them were in any way
interesting. Point me to something that makes you a more valuable
contributor to the newsgroup than Rita.
Also, provide some basic information about yourself. Do you have a
camera? If so, do you have any problem locating 110 film? Do you
enjoy looking at photographs? If so, in what magazine? Have you been
successful in hiding those magazines from your mother?

Of course not, but a 6D(?) can be better than a 1DsMkIII and still inferior
to a 1DsMkIV.
None of their model lines will ever stay still, or people would have no need
to upgrade

I find nothing here, or anywhere, from you that is "contributory" or
"interesting." Point me to what I have missed.
