I just purchased an EVOLT 500. I do a lot of backpacking and was looking for
a quality waterproof camera bag with the smallest footprint I can find that
allows for both lenses sold w/this camera. Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks!

I use an Adorama "Swinger" for my E-500. Holds the camera, 3 lenses, flash,
and accessories. I think it's water resistant. I doubt that any bag is
waterproof. I suspect you need something like a Pelican case for total water
protection.

I'm using a Lowepro Nova 3 AW. It has a rain cover that zips out and covers
over the bag for inclimate weather. It is a smaller bag, but perhaps larger
than what you need. Lowepro may have a smaller version, but consider some
room to grow.

I used a Lowepro bag for my first digital and have been very happy with it.
I used the zip out cover often and found it worked great. Thanks for the
suggestion.

Lowepro makes bag called the Slingshot in three sizes; 100, 200, and 300.
They are an interesting cross between a conventional shoulder-strap bag and
a full backpack-style bag. The upshot with the Slingshot is that you can
carry your gear much like backpack on long treks, but by slinging the bag to
your front-side you have access to your gear without having to dismount the
bag like you would with a conventional backpack. I have a Lowepro Nova 2 AW
that I use when I want the smallest bag possible for minimal gear, but I
recently purchased the Slingshot 200 to allow for more room and convenience
on longer hikes.

Umm, the bag is 'Slinger', not 'Swinger'. For the OP, only have 2 lenses, it
might be a bit of overkill, but if you have a few more lenses, it is a nice
bag. I think something like a Lowepro Nova 1 might be somewhat smaller.
