Archived from groups: rec>photo>digital (more info?)

Hi,

I would like to buy one digital camera from Casio. Unfortunately I
can't decide between following models:

EX-Z70
EX-Z700
EX-S770
EX-Z850
EX-Z1000

I have read different Reviews and can't decide for one as they have
nearly same features.

I would like to buy snapshot-camera, which delivers good picture
quality. Otherwise the pictures should be bright/shap when they have
been taken. I will not use any movie function.

Thanks for tips.

The Casio pocket cameras are very good for what they are. I have a z750 and
I recommend them highly: outdoors in bright sunshine particularly they are
capable of great results. However there is no point to buying the 10mp model
as technical restrictions are such that there is little difference in image
quality from the 5-8mp versions. Casio does not use much compression on
their high quality jpeg setting so the 10mp sensor will fill memory cards
rapidly with no gain in image quality.
