Hi everyone,

I am thinking about buying a Kodak, model c315, for some family. I
have never owned a Kodak though I am familiar with others and I don't
completely understand the function of a dock. I've read you use it to
transfer your photos and recharge your battery. I want to think you
can do those things without a dock, especially since they sell the
cameras separately from the docks. Also I can find almost no
information or reviews on this specific model, being new I suppose. Is
there a reason a 5 mega pixel camera is so cheap?? I'd love to know
what you all think. Thanks and happy thanksgiving!

Kodak cameras are easy to use, and produce vivid, pictures with minimal
effort from the photographer. The dock provides both battery charging
in the camera, and connection of the camera to a computer (USB 2.0) for
'hands off' transfer of pictures to the computer. I am not familiar
with the particular model, but it is cheap because not a great many
extra features are present, such as long zoom lens, or sophisticated
lens. It would be a good camera for an undemanding 'snapshot'
photographer with minimal computer skills.
