Looks like you can get a decent digital camera for the price of a what good
zoom point and shoot film camera used to cost. Many stores have great
discounts on them and the cost of the memory cards are amazing. I've seen
1GB SD cards for $10 after rebate and some just a bit more with no rebate. I
can afford to buy them as gifts now. It is shaping up to be a big holiday
season for digital cameras.

I bought myself a Rebel XTi kit and for gifts, I bought a Canon A540,
Fujifilm A500 and a S3100. The S3100 is an older model that the local chain
bought a bunch of Fuji stock and are selling them for $99 including a camera
bag with NI-MH batteries and charger. Not bad for a telezoom camera. I
bought a second one to toy around with.
