The battery in my 300D seems to have lost the ability to get a good
charging. I have to recharge it about once a week and I don't take many
pictures. I've google'd BP-511, the battery for the camera, and get
quite a few hits. There are various sources for replacements with
prices ranging from about $15 to $70, depending on the specific marketer
and manufacturer. Are there any recommendations or specific cautions I
should exercise when getting a new battery?

Please reply to me directly as well as to this group.

Thanks

Pete

The only non-Canon battery I've used is SterlingTek, I've had relatively few
problems. I did have one battery out of 4 that I bought stop taking a
charge after 2 years, but the other 3 are still good - better than the
original Canon batteries.
