Hi!
I've recently started to play with RAW (NIKON NEF), downloaded
the Nikon Capture NX demo and liked it very much, especially
that effortless way of adding transformations to the original
image instead of modifying image data.
But the bone I've got to pick with Capture NX is that it has
no automatic distortion control. Instead there's just a slider.
Now, with an image with a grid on it, it's easy enough to do but
what if I do a landscape and need to correct the distortion for
better panorama fit?
PTLens corrects distortion nicely but it can't work on NEF-files.
Is there any way to make Capture (or any other NEF capable program)
correct automatically for distortion depending on the EXIF data?
What do you people do?
Lots of Greetings!
Volker
