Print on 8.5 x 11 with 1/2" margin on
top and bottom and 1/4" on left and
right & trim off.
Duh.

I've often seen 8½ x 11 document frames.
However for photos, 8½ x 11 is not a standard size, either with or
without an equally margined mat, so there is little demand. >> Stay informed about: Where the F--- ARE the 8.5" x 11" FRAMES???! |

So get a mat cutter and make mats any size you want. 8-1/2x11 is an oddball
size for photo prints.

I usually print on 8x10, not 8x11-1/2
If need be, print a crop onto your larger paper and cut the difference to pick
a standard frame. Or ... buy a custom frame [there are a LOT of places that
will order custom frames for you].

In the UK they're sold as "Certificate" frames, sometimes much cheaper than
equiv photo frames.

As they are in the US. I don't know where the OP lives, but in Austin TX
they are easy to find. It may be true that most camera shops don't stock
them, but that is the last place I would go for a frame, unless I won
the lottery. Instead, try office supply stores, hobby shops (e. g.,
Michael's, Hobby Lobby) , general merchandise stores (Target, WalMart, etc).

Indeed, it is, but if you go to a place like Michael's, you can find
frames in just about any size you like, or can even have the cut to your
specifications. >> Stay informed about: Where the F--- ARE the 8.5" x 11" FRAMES???! |
